How to measure your window frame for installing curtains?

Tools:
Tape measure
Ladder (if required)
Stationary
Paper/notebook

Tips:
Double check your measurements

Steps:

1. Measure the width
Width is the curtain track length (see figure).
If the track is not available, measure the window frame and allow enough space (15cm - 20cm) on each side to fully cover the window frame.
Example:
If the window frame is 150cm wide, add 30cm (15cm each side) to get a track width of 180cm.
If the window frame is 220cm wide, add 40cm (20cm each side) to get a track width of 260cm.

2. Measure the drop
The drop is wherever you want the curtain to be (see figure).
If you want the bottom curtain to touch the floor, add 5cm to the drop height.
Drop: Curtain height
The drop will depend on the location you want to hang your track and where you want the curtains to finish.
